The twisty bit of Ferndale Road that follows the contour for a short way before climbing steeply behind the camera (and across a gridline intersection). Up the hill 20th-century houses are jumbled in amongst the widely-spaced old villas. Their gardens have been sold off and buyers have jostled for plots with a sea view.
