Taken in March 1972, this photo is taken from the top of the Civic Centre and shows Royal Parade looking East towards St Andrew's Cross. The church on the right of the photo is St Andrew's Parish Church with the Guildhall in front of it. The red buses in the photo were operated by Plymouth City Transport whilst the green bus on the left of the photo is a Bristol Lodekka operated by Western National. Bus services in Plymouth are now provided by Plymouth Citybus and First Devon & Cornwall.
