Folkestone, Garden of Remembrance, Christ Church. The clock tower of Christ Church is a well-known landmark in the centre of Folkestone. The text carved into the stonework round the clock warns passers-by to "TRIFLE NOT THY TIME IS SHORT" The church was consecrated on 27th July 1850 and destroyed by a German bomb on 17th May 1942.
