Believed to be one of two Inghamite Churches that are still functioning. Built by the followers of Benjamin Ingham from Ossett, West Yorkshire in the mid nineteenth century - a non conformist christian whose followers mainly came from the Pennine areas of Yorkshire and Lancashire. At one time there were over 100 of these churches or meeting houses, but after the benefactors death congregations declined.
