A Sprinter DMU (diesel multiple unit) train heads north towards Manchester from Heaton Chapel Station. The station serves the areas of Heaton Chapel and Heaton Moor (up until 1974, it was called Heaton Chapel & Heaton Moor Station). It is on the line between Manchester Piccadilly and Stockport, approximately four and a half miles from Manchester.
