This building in the centre of Front Street was originally the courthouse and prison for the new town of Inveraray, but proved to be too small (historical information : http://www.inveraray-argyll.com/town.htm ). Completed in 1757, it is a category A listed building - see Historic Scotland for details http://hsewsf.sedsh.gov.uk/hslive/portal.hsstart?P_HBNUM=35007 .
