Birmingham and Fazeley Canal. Near Castle Vale, the widely spaced Minworth Three Locks flight provides a fall in water level of 16ft 8in (about five metres). The gate is open because a boat has just left the lock, en route for Birmingham. Another narrowboat, heading for Fazeley, is about to enter the chamber.
