The brake-lining manufacturing company Ferodo (an anagram of Frood, the 19th-century founder's name, with the addition of a letter "e") was established in Chapel-en-le-Frith in 1897. It remained a family concern for over a hundred years until becoming part of the international conglomerate Federal-Mogul in 1998. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferodo Wikipedia)
