Taken from roughly the same spot as Image (a detail of the scene), on the former road south of Harbertonford. The modern A road is hidden by the hillside. Hernaford http://list.english-heritage.org.uk/resultsingle.aspx?uid=1288223&searchtype=mapsearch is an early C19 replacement for a much older mansion.
