This cottage is on the edge of the Crown lands of the New Forest (hence the green Forestry Commission sign in the foreground on the left), where it borders the edge of Ibsley and Rockford Commons (both now owned by the National Trust). The narrow and winding road from Moyles Court to Linwood passes right past this cottage, which has two monkey puzzle trees in the front garden.
