Looking along the railway from Rossmore Road bridge out towards Aylesbury and High Wycombe. In the 1980s there was a proposal to convert this line into a dedicated coach route, with Marylebone becoming a central London coach station. Trains would have been diverted to Paddington. Fortunately, the folly of this idea was recognised in time and the route is now busier than ever.
