Stained glass of 1949 by Lawrence Lee in the north aisle of St Mary & St John's Church, in memory of Robert and Mary Thomas. Robert was headmaster of St John's Classical School, run by the Cowley Fathers. Oxford's patron saint is shown caressing a miniature ox beneath a vision of dreaming spires, including those of the University Church of St Mary the Virgin and the Radcliffe Camera. Above the spires and beneath the church's monogram appears another ox fording a dark blue river from the city's arms.
