Set in the War Memorial Garden at Murton Image The inscription reads "To the sacred memory of William McNally VC MM and bar, 1894 to 1976, who by his courage and unselfish devotion to duty during the Great War 1914 to 1918 brought honour and glory to this village and to his regiment".
