The entrance to one of several established ornamental gardens at the W end of the High Weald. Other examples would be Nymans (Handcross), Leonardslee (Lower Beeding) and Wakehurst Place (Ardingly). The natural folds in the land and backdrop of forestry and fields set off all these gardens very well. Rhododendrons are a speciality and all of these gardens are particularly good in late spring.
