The fingerpost points along the footpath through a coppice to Goff's Bridge which crosses Dockens Water to reach Linwood Bog. There are no public footpaths on the New Forest proper (the Crown lands), but this is part of the National Trust owned "adjacent common" of Ibsley Common where different rules apply (although in physical reality it blends seamlessly with the Crown lands).
