Situated at the junction of the old route to London, the Roman Stane Street, and the old route to Arundel, now a dead-end. Originally the Coach and Horses pub, later a Chinese restaurant. This grade II listed building has been empty for some time, and planning applications to turn it into flats have been refused, principally, it would appear, because the changes proposed are too drastic.
