Pub at 40 Porchester Road, occupying the ground floor of a block of flats on the corner of Porchester Square. The pub is named after Sir Daniel Gooch (1816-1889), the first Great Western Railway Superintendent of Locomotive Engines (1837-1864) and its chairman from 1865 to 1889.
