Viewed from the B4348 at the western edge of Dorstone. Despite its Welsh name, Mynyddbrith Image is in Herefordshire, about 4km east of the Wales border. It appears in the Domesday Book (1086) as Mynyddbrydd, with a population of 15, namely 7 villagers, 2 smallholders, 4 slaves, a priest and a smith.
