The lych gate at the entrance to the village church http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3131806 was erected in the early 20th century by parishioners in memory of the Reverend Alexander John Woodforde BA who was vicar of Locking for fifteen years. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3131825
