Located on the corner of Mount Street and Hither Mead. The construction of the village hall, on the site of a working men's institute that was demolished to make way for it, was completed in August 1939. The village hall's first use was for war evacuees from London. The number of children in the village was too large for the village school, so the village hall was used as a second school until the end of July 1945. An extension, a new small hall, was opened in July 2009.
