Rather than a ruin, this curious structure, viewed from the car park of a modern hotel, may be a building that was never in fact completed. It resembles a long corridor with a window at the end nearest the camera. It seems to emerge from the lower level of the building behind, which is part of George Heriot's School, but goodness knows where it was intended to lead to... See also Image
