The headquarters of Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council. Long and low, concrete and glass, by John Brown, A.E. Henson & Partners, 1963-67. Projecting behind is an elliptical council chamber, and behind that is a small park. The council's website tells us that "the council serves approximately 100 000 inhabitants over 16 wards with 34 elected councillors and with approximately 400 full-time and part-time staff." At the time of writing it was controlled by the Liberal Democrats.
