One of the old entrances to this stately home. Not an entrance to be used by the public. There is a right of way that passes through the grounds of the house. Care however should be taken when using it. On the 19th August 2009 The Wilts and Gloucs. Standard reported that someone from the house had set a black labrador on some ramblers using the right of way. The proprietor of the house Thomas Henderson, 2nd son of Lord Faringdon refused to comment on the incident. the house was used in the 1955 film of Jane Eyre.
