The front elevation of this historic gatehouse (itself dating from 1829) now faces Woolwich market and has the busy A206 behind it. The interior of the gatehouse was refurbished by the Greenwich Enterprise Board (GEB) and reopened in 1996. The International University of America - originally a Californian University - took the building over in 2003. Apparently it contains two reception rooms, two offices, a communication room, an archive room, four toilets, a reading room, a conference/seminar room, two large lecture rooms and a large fitted kitchen-cum-student lounge!
