The Woodhouse hotel has 10 acres of grounds and the raised position of the hotel enables it to look out over the valley of the River Leam. The grounds are now all overgrown due to the fact the hotel closed in December 2011 and is due to be demolished and replaced with a new hotel. This was once finely manicured lawns and beer gardens.
