View NW, towards Machynlleth etc.: ex-Cambrian main line from Welshpool, Shrewsbury and Whitchurch. The station had been closed from 14/6/65, but by 1986 was in use by Laura Ashley Ltd., later in Newtown. The line is still open, although closed Whitchurch - Buttington (north of Welshpool) since 18/1/65).
