Looking towards Shrewsbury this is the line from Shrewsbury to Crewe and is being re-signalled. This signal box along with others will be replaced and the trains controlled remotely from the new South Wales signalling centre. Following the re-signalling of the line, the box was moved to Crewe where it is now used for training purposes - see http://oslglobal.com/nantwich-signal-box-relocated-railway-exchange/
