Auctioneers Perkins George Mawer & Co. sold over a three day period the lifetime collection of memorabilia, artefacts and paperwork of the late Mr. Brian Ayre. The larger items were sold at his home near Market Rasen. Local farmer Mr. Ayre died in 2009, aged 72 years. He was described as an authority on the area's agricultural heritage and an avid collector of implements, artefacts and items of nostalgic interest. Some of the items were bought for the community by the Rase Heritage Society.
