The building work was approved with conditions by Folkestone and Hythe District Council under application reference Y10/0920/NMC on 9 December 2010 and then approved as a non-material change to this application under reference Y11/0071/NMC on 12 October 2011. Details given as: retention of existing first, second and third floor façade following demolition of retaining parts of former Piper’s nightclub and dance floor to the Tontine Street frontage with retail/commercial space to the ground floor and limited parking to the rear accessed off St Michael’s Street (Phase 1) and erection of a 2-storey new block to the rear (90 St Michael’s Street) to replace the vehicle parking (provided by Phase 1), as part of Phase 2 scheme
