A lawned area within York Gardens. The whole more extensive private garden is owned by the inhabitants of the streets that "sandwich" it in, i.e. Royal York Crescent on the photographer's right and a street enjoying the same name as the gardens on the left. Regent Street lies at the end of the road, behind the photographer. The gardens were established between 1791-1801.
