Historic pub on High Street. A plaque states that conspirators against Henry V were tried here in 1415, and executed at nearby Bargate. Internally, L-shaped bar right, eating and drinking areas front, left, back and in gallery. The pub has wooden panelling, beams, a parrot, heraldic shields and a suit of armour. Cask ales on offer at my visit: Hogs Back TEA, Itchen Valley Hampshire Rose, Sharp's Doom Bar.
