The Southbrook Inn is a Grade II Listed Building http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-318818-the-southbrook-public-house-swindon. It was formerly a farmhouse until the northward expansion of Swindon in the early 20th century, when the Southbrook Farm area was included in the Borough of Swindon. Some of its former fields were turned into allotments, and it retains a rural air despite being engulfed by Swindon; thus the annual fete has a villagey feel about it.
