A substantial item of ironwork, perhaps three feet long. It commemorates Walter Maplesden Noakes, April 11th 1850 - July 15th 1918. The tomb-slab itself is somewhat overgrown, so that no other inscription was legible - though there may once have been an embellishment in the form of a fish.
