After passing in front of the Bryan Hall Mill warehouse in Image], the River Lud goes through a tunnel underneath this row of terraced cottages. There is and inspection hole in the floor of this cottage. The tunnel entrance is dimly visible below the bridge. The Lud comes out some 100m further on, having passed under Commercial Road.
