A section of the ambulatory corridor (the processional passageway alongside & behind the altar) of St Mary's Church, Redcliffe. An item of particular interest for some visitors is an original copy of a "Breeches Bible" (printed 1613-14) on the wrought-iron lectern or shelf above the wooden bench. More correctly known as a Geneva edition bible (c.1560) these were so called on account of the rendition of Genesis Chap 3, V.7: "They sewed figge leaves together, and made themselves breeches."
