Taken on a dull day in October 1969, this photo shows a 1966 Daimler Fleetline with Roe 70-seater operated by Leeds City Transport in Leeds Road, Thornbury on route 78 from Leeds (Park Place) to Bradford (Chester Street Bus Station) via Pudsey. This route was previously operated by Samuel Ledgard buses until the 14th October 1967 when Bradford City Transport and LCT took over its operation. First Bus now operate this X11 route on weekdays only. Trolleybus overhead wiring can be seen in this photo and it was used until the closure of Bradford's trolleybus system on Sunday 26th March 1972.
