The symbols or arms of the Marquess of Abergavenny I believe, the Nevill or Neville family who over the centuries held the titles Lord of Abergavenny, Earl of Abergavenny and today Marquess. Nearby Nevill Hall was a seat until the early 20th century. There are other similarly stamped estate houses and cottages in the vicinity.
