Possibly built during the time that the National Institute of Agricultural Engineering was in residence at Wrest Park. Here the scientists pushed forward the technological advances in agriculture during the 1950s '60s and '70s. Such things as driver-less tractors and spraying technologies were perfected along with the thorough testing of all manner of farm machinery with a comprehensive data report that farmers could subscribe to and receive.
