The 'High Street' scene on the underpass walls certainly brightens up the area. The various shops and characters are all local and contemporary. For example, (l to r) there is a cow drover (or cow walloper as known locally!), children playing with hoops and trolleys, a typical Victorian house from Rampart Road, the Invicta Leatherworks, Eileen O'Leary (who along with her new husband Neil MacNamee {the Lipton's Grocery manager} set sail on the Titanic and met a watery grave), a popular inn called the Crystal Fountain and finally there's 'Trunky the Barrel Snatcher' - a local man who made easy work of shifting beer barrels for a living.
