My best guess is this is Omocestus virdulus as the meadow grasshopper has black eyes. This example was seen on Image an SSSI managed by the Friends of Tiptree Heath http://www.tiptreeheath.co.uk/ and the Essex Wildlife Trust http://www.essexwt.org.uk/visitor_centres__nature_reserves/tiptree_heath/
