Viewed from Juggs Road about twenty minutes before sunset. This is a replica windmill being built on the site of a former six sweep mill that came down in a gale in 1916. Planning permission was granted in 2007 and work began in 2009 with the first two of six sweeps added in July 2012. The mill will be a working one generating electricity its renewable energy use enabling it pass the planning process in the South Downs national park. See http://www.sussexmillsgroup.org.uk/ashcombe.htm for more details.
