Dukeries Aviation, Netherthorpe aerodrome

Netherthorpe (Thorpe Salvin) aerodrome has the UK's shortest licensed runway. It has been a civil aerodrome since 1935, though Lysanders (short take-off and -landing aircraft) from 613 Squadron were based there in 1940 (i.e. during WW2). It is the home of the Sheffield Aeroclub, Phoenix Aviation, and the maintenance facility, Dukeries Aviation Ltd.(seen in the picture)
