Restored by Alan Staley, it was built by the 15 year old John Harman in 1948 in Whitstable and named after his mother. It was used to rescue people from buildings in the floods of 1953. For John's story see www.simplywhitstable.com/people_n_haunts/hobbies/johns_boat.htm
