This First World War Memorial, with Second World War and later additions, is located on Remembrance Avenue in Fleetwood's Memorial Park. The cylindrical plinth carries a sculptured Romanesque figure of a young man representing Liberty. The memorial was unveiled in 1927 (http://www.britishpathe.com/video/admiral-sir-william-goodenough British Pathé Newsreel Film of the ceremony). It has been designated as a Grade II listed structure by English Heritage (http://list.english-heritage.org.uk/resultsingle.aspx?uid=1116884 National Heritage List for England).
