The building on the right, now offices, was for many decades the village school until closure in 1993. Kelly's Directory of Monmouthshire 1901 has this: "Board School (mixed). Built in 1878 and enlarged in 1898, for 65 children. Average attendance, 46." The Bryn Trading Post http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3042656 is on the left.
