The long Georgian buildings on the right are Sevenoaks Place, built as almshouses, but now part of Sevenoaks School. The story seems to be that the design for the buildings was drawn up by Lord Burlington, but then interpreted rather freely by the local masons who carried out the work. On the left, the white van is parked outside the Royal Oak Hotel, at the corner of Oak Lane.
