Part of the substation on the E side of Heip Hill. Substations contain transformers, switching and protective equipment as part of the distribution network connecting high voltage grid lines to lower voltage lines that supply local transformers. The red, yellow and blue colours mark the 3 phase supplies. High voltage power equipment is fascinating to look at - from a safe distance; ironically, the footpath from which this was taken is bordered by a single strand electric fence.
