A corner of the colourful former wholesale market. Racks of plants for sale can be seen on this pedestrianised section of Brook Street. The elaborate structure was designed by Richard Dugdale, the first full-time Borough Surveyor and built in 1887-88. Renovated in 1980, it is now a retail market.
