After a particularly cold snap there were even ice-flows to be seen on the River Severn. Compare with Image The larger of the moored craft on the left was the old Arley Ferry which used to ply at Image After being replaced by a footbridge it was moored at Bewdley for many years and used as a mooring pontoon. It was removed in the 1990s after is sank due to progressive decay and very heavy floods.
