Rather quaintly described on Ordnance Survey maps as a drawbridge, this bridge is operated by boaters using a standard windlass (or lock key). The cat had waited patiently for a boat to pass through and the bridge to be lowered before nonchalantly strolling across - clearly well used to the procedure.
